From Hollywood Blvd to Rodeo Drive Baby!

To kick off this Halloween season, I am sharing my Broadway inspired looks from this year’s smash hit, Pretty Woman the Musical. Directed by Jerry Mitchell with music by the incredible Bryan Adams and his longtime song writing partner, Jim Vallance, Pretty Woman premiered on Broadway at Nederlander Theatre on August 16th of this year following previews in both Chicago and New York. Starring Samantha Barks as Vivian, Andy Karl as Edward and the amazing Orfeh as Kit DeLuca, the show is winning the hearts of theatre goers nightly and breaking the Nederlander Theatre gross records. After seeing the musical in previews, I was inspired to recreate some of the movie/musicals’ iconic looks for this Halloween.

First, of course, I started with the “hooker with a heart of gold”, Hollywood Blvd look. The outfit was essential, so I took to my go to custom site,, and found an inexpensive recreation from Zanza Designs Clothing (HERE). After that was secured, I turned to for the fixings: Wig (HERE), Boots (HERE), and that cute little hat (HERE). A huge thank you here to Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank, NJ for providing the backdrop for these photos

Now, I had to attempt to transform into that gorgeous woman Edward takes to the opera to listen to Verdi’s La Traviatta. This was actually easier than I thought it would be. I came upon the dress by absolute accident while shopping for casual everyday dresses on Reformation. Their Bali dress (HERE) was perfect and the best part, reusable for events. Then it was back to Amazon for the fixings again. Gloves (HERE) and opera glasses (HERE). The necklace was a bit harder. I ordered one, that never showed up . . . soooooooo, my amazing photographer Brandi Grooms added it in with photoshop.

Another huge thank you here to Count Basie in Red Bank, NJ for allowing me to shoot on their balconies.
